Hotel Day 1: Austro-Dolomiti Challenge

Our hotel for Day 1 is the Outdoorhotel Jäger Von Fall.

Located on the shore of Sylvensteinsee, a large lake whose shores we will skirt just before arriving at our destination for day 1.

The hotel’s secluded location (map below) in the small village of Fall, which has a population of 100, will help us to recharge our batteries before riding over the border into Austria the following day. For Challenge Veterans, it may also bring back some memories of the first hotel on the Swiss Epic at the top of Brunigpass.

Although the rooms here, look a little different to the Swiss bunkhouse in the woods.

The image below shows the main entrance, so this is what to look out for at the end of our first day.

On the evening of the 1st August, the hotel’s restaurant will be buzzing with hungry tired cyclists.

The team at Jäger Von Fall have been excellent so far and I’m sure that we will be well looked after here. For more info and images of the hotel, check their website here.

Before signing off, I’m pleased to say that all hotels are confirmed (and have been for a little while, I’ve just had my hands full recently) so we will be releasing details of the hotels over the next couple of weeks, shortly followed by the route.

14 weeks to go, so keep up the training! If you need a hand with training drop me a message on whatsapp.
