Hotel Day 4: The Impossible Find
We’d never had so much difficulty finding a hotel until now! And now we know why!
Hotel Sonne Sole
This blog post is a little later than I’d hoped as we were busy signing Peter and Ian up (Welcome both of you!).
When looking for the Day 4 hotel, we were starting to worry that we would ever find a hotel in this area, and we were flummoxed as to why it would be so difficult to get a booking.
Then, when we were designing the jersey, we think we found the answer.
The town where we are staying on day 4 is Dobbiaco, and the view from the shores of the lake is one of the most picturesque in the all of The Dolomites! So much so that we added it to our Challenge jersey.
The lake is just the icing on the top of a an epic-landscape cake. No doubt the reason why all the hotels in the valley are all booked out in 7 night blocks.
So we felt very lucky (and slightly releived) when found the Hotel Sonne Sole in Dobbiaco.
The rooms look very comfortable and there’s a pool to dip your legs in.
Dinner on day 4 will not be in the hotel, but in a restaurant over the road.
